The Evidence Based Organization: The Certification Course - We have a process for helping organizations become evidence based. The process lays a foundation for helping organization achieve enduring client outcomes and consistently reaching and exceeding the expectations of stakeholders and funding providers. Agencies are encouraged to participate as teams to help accelerate the adoption and transition toward becoming an EBO.
The Evidence Based Practitioner: The Certification Course - This training is standardized formal education for supervision, case management and coordination teams working with justice-involved adults and youth. Such teams would include counselors, community services providers, courts and probation staff, social workers and clinical teams. The program fleshes out the evidence-based "common elements" they must possess as practitioners to help their clients address challenges impeding their success - vs punishing, warning or "rehabilitating". It has been developed as a “pathway or logic model” to help practitioners hone capabilities in the essential skills they must possess to work effectively with their clients.
Co-occurring Mental Health & Substance Use disorders (Complex Care) – We have developed several training presentations on this but now use the SAMHSA Manualized Presentations. Sometimes it is necessary to expand the detail on a part of this training which we are able to do.
Evidence-Based Case Management: Core Practices For Effective Outcomes - Participants learn evidence-based & strength-centered case management practices. Participants will be able to differentiate traditional deficit-centered practices vs. evidence-based and strength-centered practices we are moving toward. Using relevant examples, participants will learn how they can help their clients achieve desirable outcomes through promoting quality and effective interventions which link individuals to appropriate resources.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) – DBT strategies arose from a recognition that typical skills-focused programs concentrate on change to the exclusion of validation or acceptance, with the result that clients experience invalidation around their suffering as well as the difficulty or lack of readiness to make changes. The particular value of DBT stems from it combining acceptance and change strategies together.
Seeking Safety - is a present-focused, coping skills approach developed as an integrated treatment for PTSD/substance abuse which does not require the client to dwell on the past, although it can be combined with trauma-processing methods.
Program Evaluation – Developing and utilizing performance measures to assess key results; developing and utilizing action plans; monitoring implementation through process evaluation. Using performance assessment to improve agency operations, manage resistance to change, and communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
Becoming An Evidence Based Organization - We have a process for helping organizations become evidence based.
