Program Details:

Each year nearly 650,000 inmates are released from state prisons with approximately 65% violating the conditions of their parole and 50% re-incarcerated within 3 years. Furthermore, 9% of all offenders who exit probation supervision are incarcerated in state or local facilities due to rule violations. Program administrators and correctional practitioners are obliged to provide tools for managing the myriad of high-risk triggers inevitably encountered in community settings.

Strengthening Recovery and Rehabilitation presents a positive framework for fostering success and removing barriers that may impede chances of successful reentry.  After reviewing the causes and pathways to the gamut of compulsive pleasure-seeking activities, individualized strategies for preventing relapse and recidivism are outlined.

Natural highs are unfolded as essential means for the attainment of positive feeling states beneficial to the well-being of the individual and society.
